About Reb

I'm Rebecca— but you can call me Reb, because we’re basically friends now.

I’m a Virginia-based photographer documenting weddings, couples, and families wherever life (and love) takes me.

I’m powered by good food, unhinged cackles, and spending time with the people who make life feel like home. And truthfully? That’s the same energy I bring into every session.

I grew up in New York — shoutout to the boogie-down Bronx — so staying adaptable, reading vibes, and celebrating culture is in my DNA. That upbringing taught me how to notice the little things: the quick glances, the tiny connections, the magic in everyday life. That’s exactly what inspires my work.

This isn’t just about taking photos.

It’s about honoring your story, having fun, and creating images that genuinely feel like you.

A FEW FACTS ABOUT ME...

One.

I’m a diehard Yankees fan — some call it obsession, I call it tradition. I can quote stats, argue lineups, and cry over a playoff loss like it’s personal. But it’s not just the team — it’s the game itself I love: the crack of the bat, the tension in a close inning, the pause before a pitch. Watching, cheering, and soaking it all in has shaped how I notice the magic in everyday life.

Two.

I’m a tattoo fanatic in the truest sense — ink has always been one of my favorite forms of storytelling, and honestly? It inspires the way I shoot: bold, intentional, and a little bit sentimental. Each piece I have carries meaning, memory, or a moment I never want to forget, and I love noticing the stories behind other people’s tattoos too. That same love for detail, individuality, and emotional storytelling is what I bring to every photograph I take.

Three.

I’m a dog mom to Yogi Berra — or just “Yogi” — my Australian Shepherd–Border Collie mix who’s equal parts chaos and cuddles. He’s kind of a psycho, but somehow makes life endlessly fun (and fur-covered). Yogi is my little adventure buddy, co-pilot, and occasional chaos coordinator, always keeping me on my toes and reminding me to enjoy the little moments.

I’m also a cat mom to Baby Kitten, my crazy calico with way too much personality for one tiny body. She keeps life interesting in her own mischievous, unpredictable way — and somehow, between the two of them, my house is a perfect mix of energy, love, and laughter.

Four.

I love to cook — big flavors, small experiments, and plenty of laughter along the way. There’s something magical about taking raw ingredients and turning them into something that brings people together, sparks joy, and creates memories. My kitchen is my happy place, my creative playground, and a space where I can slow down, experiment, and savor life’s little moments.

Cooking is a form therapy for me - it teaches me the same lessons I bring to my photography: patience, curiosity, attention to detail, and joy in the process. Whether I’m whipping up a complicated recipe or capturing a fleeting moment through my lens, it’s all about creating something that feels alive, heartfelt, and real.

Five.

Family means everything to me — both the one I’m in the season of building, and the one that has always been there. Every member of my family, past and present, has shaped who I am: teaching me love, resilience, laughter, and how to navigate life with heart. They’ve shown me the importance of connection, support, and celebrating the small, meaningful moments that make life rich. Their presence inspires me every day and is at the core of why I do what I do — capturing real stories, real people, and the love that holds them together.

My Fuel

I’ve been lucky enough to have my entire life — and even moments of my loved ones from before my time — documented on film. Someone in my family always had a camera in hand, capturing everything from big milestones like preschool graduations to quiet afternoons just hanging out in a backyard.

These old photos are my biggest inspiration. They weren’t taken to be “Instagrammable,” and they weren’t meant for the world to see — they’re just little snapshots of life as it was. Are they all perfect? Not at all. But they have this incredible power to transport me back in time — to the exact feeling I had in that moment, to the smells in the air, to the places and people that brought me joy. Photos are more than images; they’re time capsules, holding memory, emotion, and story. That’s the magic I chase in my own work: creating photographs that let you feel, remember, and relive life exactly as it was.
